5 Weeks!

Not too sure about all my friends
Me and my friends

Starting to fit in my 0-3 month old clothes

I haven't changed too much since my 1-month birthday on Saturday, but I wanted to share some new photos with you. I forgot to mention in my last post that my neck is getting stronger and I am able to hold up my head for a really long time. But I still like to freak my parents out by flinging it back! So if you are holding me, make sure you still support my head. Also, I have these things my parent's call "hands." I'm not sure what their purpose is yet, but I definitely don't like it when they scratch my face and poke my eyes!

I'm 1-Month Old Today!

Me and my dad

Tummy time... still not the biggest fan

I'm pretty cute... what do you think?

More playmat time

Waking up in my bassinet

I prefer to sleep right here, thank very much!

Today is my 1 month birthday! I'm more alert these days and am staying awake for much longer. However, I like to sleep during the day and party at night... must of got this from my uncle Bij. When I am sleeping, I prefer to be close to my mom and dad (as you can see above). I don't like sleeping longer than an hour alone in my bassinet or in my bouncy chair. I know my mom and dad love to cuddle with me, so they don't mind my mix up of days and nights... Ha! This past week I have been exploring my new playmat (thanks Amanda, Joe and Jakey)! I don't like tummy time for very long, but I do like gazing at the bright colors and listening to the jungle sounds while on my back. Mommy and daddy also join me on the playmat and they like to make funny faces at me. Now that the rain has come and gone, I'm enjoying my daily walks with mommy and Chauncey, although it does put me to sleep!

Natasha

Chauncey and Natasha

Exhausted after our walk

Natasha is 3 weeks old! It was a big week for this little girl. On Monday she had her 2-week wellness check with her pediatrician. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 15 oz. and grew 3/4". The doctor said she looked great and that there is no longer concern for jaundice. She was pretty impressed that she gained all that weight back (and more) with just breastfeeding. That evening she had her first real bath at home. She seemed iffy about it. We think she liked the sound of the running water, but sitting in the tub itself was not fun.

On Tuesday we ventured out of the house for a stroll around the neighborhood. It was my first time taking her in her stroller with Chauncey. I was a bit nervous to see how Chauncey would react but he was awesome and walked by the stroller the whole time. I was very proud of him.

According to TheBump.com, I am Natasha's world. She is able to recognize my voice, my smell, and my appearance. She can even taste the difference between my breast milk and someone else's and would choose mine if given the choice. She is definitely more alert these days but seems to have her days and nights mixed up. Hopefully, we can keep her up more during the day so she can sleep longer at night. This would make mommy and daddy very happy!

2 Weeks Old

I can't believe our baby girl is 2 weeks old today! Where does the time go? I'll tell you... feeding, changing diapers and cuddling our sweet pea to sleep. Today Zac went back to work after taking 2 weeks off to be at home with us. So, it was just me and Natasha and I think we did pretty well. I think she is also going through a growth spurt since she has been wanting the boob every 2 hours or sometimes earlier. This definitely makes the time fly by. I managed to get a shower in while she napped and made Zac and I something to eat when he came home for lunch. Overall, we are all adjusting to Natasha's schedule. I managed to get a good 3 hours of sleep last night before her middle of the night feeding and then another 4 hours, since Zac took care of the early morning feeding. Natasha is more alert these days and keeping her eyes open longer. It is always neat to see the changes in her as she grows. I hope you enjoy the pictures!
