USA! USA! USA!

Natasha modeled her red, white and blue this morning in the spirit of being 13 weeks old and for the US advancing to the next round, (if you don't know what I'm talking about, turn on the TV - it's World Cup time; basketball is over - finally; football is not for another couple of months and baseball, well I could care less about baseball)!

Our monkey has become quite the conversationalist. We take turns telling stories and have even got a few giggles out of her. She even said her first word "Me." Okay, so it sounded more like Meh, but we know she meant "me."

Tomorrow she will be 3 months old and we will be making the transition from her bassinet (in our room) to her crib (in her room). I think I will be okay... knowing that I still will get my snuggle time in the early morning!

More photos to come as our baby girl turns 3 months old...

Visiting Daddy at Work

I put daddy to work when I arrived...

Good thing he didn't put me to work on those contracts

Smiles

Tummy time on the boppy

Natasha and I visited Zac's office yesterday because a lot of his co-workers were giving him grief for not bringing her in. As you can see above, Natasha put Zac right to work when we arrived. We then took some 11 week photos of her with Zac at his desk. Natasha did a great job and everyone loved her. Natasha will have to make another visit in a month or so. We then had lunch with daddy and then made a trip to Target.

I finally caught a smile on camera... of course, I had to act fast and the one picture I got, my finger got in the way and there is a dark shadow over her head. But at least I got one shot and I'm sure I will get more in weeks to come.

10 Weeks and Vaccines

So big! And my boo-boos
My BFF Kyra (with Phil)

Hanging out
My pal Chauncey
9 weeks and sporting my new headband (thanks Marjon)!

Natasha had her 2 month wellness check with the doctor today and she also had her first set of vaccines. The first shot didn't phase her, but she really exercised her lungs with the second, third and forth. And she has the Snoopy band aids to prove it... my poor baby girl. The doctor said Natasha is doing really well growth wise. She weighed in at 12 lbs. 6.5 oz (75th percentile) and is now 23 inches long (50-55 percentile)... she is our little chunky monkey. We go back in August for her 4 month check and more shots.

Natasha is doing really well with sleeping at night... anywhere from 5 to 7 hours and she is sleeping in her bassinet, which means mommy is back in the big cozy bed! It has been great, but I do bring her into bed with me in the morning for some snuggle time before we start our day.

We had a great Memorial weekend with family and friends. Natasha had her second play date with her BFF, Kyra. I don't know if Kyra and Natasha had as much fun as the parents did, but it was great seeing the two of them together. Also, Zac's longtime friend, Emily and her family were in town from Arizona. So Natasha got to meet Nolan (2 1/2 yrs. old) and Charlotte (8 mo. old), while we visited with Emily and Brian. It was a busy, but fun weekend!
