Tasha Tells It All

Here are Tasha's latest ramblings...

Tasha: Who's in there? (pointing to my belly)
Me: Who is in there?
Tasha: Nikolaus, he's my baby brother!  Can I say hi to him?
Me: Yes.
Tasha: Hi Nikolaus.  I don't have a baby in my belly, just food.  There is hot dog, ketchup, milk, cereal...

Tasha: Where are my keys?
Me: I don't know.
Tasha: You want to ask me?
Me: Where are your keys, Natasha?
Tasha: I lost them (obviously)

In the morning before I get out of bed, Natasha turns on the radio and dresses me in my necklaces and bracelets:
Tasha: I need to turn the music on so we can dance.  Don't worry mommy, it will be fun!

In the car, listening to the radio, when Alex Clare's "Too Close" comes on:
Tasha: This is my song!  And it feels like I am just too close to love you...
She cracks me up!

And some fun photos from this month:

Perfect Tasha size pumpkin.

Today we met some of our friends at the Irvine Regional Park Pumpkin Patch.  We had a great time walking around and seeing all the pumpkins.  They also have a lot of fun activities for kids of all ages.  The weather was great for this pregnant mama.  It's starting to feel more and more like fall.  Although the heat is supposed to return next week... blah!  Anyways, we will be returning to this pumpkin patch at the end of the month with our preschool class.  I see many more train rides in my future!

Tasha Tells It All

Here are some of Tasha's tales from last month:

Tasha: I want to get this party started!  (What can we say, she enjoys having people over for our tailgate parties)

Tasha: Red light!  Stop like a statue... got it! Okay!

Tasha: Oh man, we forgot my.... sunglasses!
                                                     water!
                                                     milk!
DVDV player (and no that is not a typo)

Tasha: This is my buddy, dad.  And this is my friend, mommy.

Tasha: Where did we buy this?  You paid for it?  (Just for the record, I have never shop lifted in my life.  I guess she is just keeping me honest)

Tasha: (marching into our bedroom in a very serious tone) Do NOT put this book in my big girl room.  Let's keep it in the toy chest.

Me: Will you help mommy clean up your kitchen?
Tasha: Yes, because Kiki made a mess (already blaming it on someone else).

Tasha: I want to do my football picks (apparently you are never too young to do football picks in the Larson household.  And for those of you who want to know, she is not in last place... not winning either)

And here are some photos from this past weekend:
Brooks likes our tailgate parties too!

Monday was Natasha's half birthday and now in less than six months she will be 3 years old!  Not only is she growing up fast, but my pregnancy is flying by too.  Natasha and I started our Mommy and Me Preschool on Tuesday.  We only go once a week for about three hours.  But we are glad to be back in school.  Natasha had a great first day... can't say the same for some of the other kids though (yikes).  The structure is the same as our toddler time class from last year.  Come in and do interactive play, help clean-up all the toys and craft stations, sit down for circle time, snack time, one on one reading time, playground time and closing circle time.  It is a great program and a good stepping stone for when Natasha goes to preschool next year (by herself).

So, what else is new with our 2 1/2 year old?  She is very much into imaginative play.  Natasha loves to play in her play kitchen fixing us breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.  She does so well playing independently as well.  Pushing her dollies around in the stroller or shopping cart, doing puzzles, playing in the yard and dressing up.  But she still loves to meet her friends at the park for play dates or bounce in the bounce house with her bff, Kiki.  Natasha loves to spend time with Grandma, as well as Mimi and Papa.  And she loves to help daddy in the yard.  Natasha is also always on the go and not much of a home-body.  Every morning when she comes into our room she asks "where are we going today?"  And I better have an answer for her because staying at home is not an option unless Grandma is coming over or we are having one of our tailgate parties.  She is such a social butterfly who likes a good party.  But who doesn't like a good party.  Natasha brings us smiles and laughs everyday and we love her so much!
