Well we survived our first trip (it's no longer called a vacation when you have kids) with Natasha. Overall she did pretty good. The flights were a little rough for her (and for mommy and daddy)! I believe Zac said "We were never going to do this again." Once we were in the air, she was a happy baby again. The key is to fly during her bedtime because she was a perfect angel on the flight home. Even though it was a short trip, we had a great time visiting with family and celebrating the marriage of Erik and Shannon! As you can see from the photos, we had a nice picnic in the park while the kids got to play at the Spray Park. Natasha was not the biggest fan since the water was quite cold for her. She is only used to her warm bath water. I'm planning to take her to the pool this Wednesday when she is 20 weeks! It is supposed to start warming up on Wednesday, so that will be the day. I will post some family photos from the wedding later this week.
Natasha had her 4-month check-up last Thursday and her second round of vaccines... my poor baby! But she only had to get 2 since they are now combining some of the vaccines into 1 shot.
Here are her stats from the appointment:
Weight - 15 lbs. 13 oz. (75th percentile... still our chunky monkey)
Length - 25" (75th percentile... I wonder how long this will last)
Head Circumference - 41 1/2 cm (75th percentile... jumped from the 25th percentile from her 2 month appointment. Probably nothing, but they want to recheck her at the end of this month to make sure her head is not growing too fast).
Since Natasha is still thriving on breast milk alone, we won't be starting rice cereal until 6 months. Other than that, we need to still practice tummy time and get her to roll over more!
Thanks for checking in on our little monkey. Have a good week!
Hi Shaunna, I always enjoy your posts. I love following Natasha. She is such a cutie and getting more talented every week. I'm glad you all had a good trip. Welcome home again.
