2 months old, already!

2 Months Old!

"I'm how old!"

"N" for Natasha

Mommy and me snoozing on Saturday

Natasha is 2 months old today... how did this happen! My 2 month old has been sleeping in 3 to 4 hour increments every night. However that is with me sleeping with her on the futon in the guest bedroom. The last couple of nights I have gone back to swaddling her arms in to see if she would sleep a bit longer. It worked and she is sleeping closer to the 4 hour mark and even once slept 5 hours. I think with her hands free, she ends up waking herself up more frequently. So last night, she actually slept in her bassinet (unswaddled) for an hour and a half while Zac and I watched LOST. Then I fed her and swaddled her and then put her down in her bassinet and she slept for close to 4 hours (without me by her side)... hopefully we are onto something! But we all know she prefers to sleep on some one's chest the most (ahem... picture above).

I just love the pictures of her in her Bumbo! The "N" shirt was a gift from Zac'c cousin, Carolyn. She made it herself and is selling some of her stuff on Etsy.com/shop/plainjaymes. It is super cute and the pattern on the "N" is of little pink giraffes. She also made me some matching cloth diapers, which I haven't had the chance to try. I will when Natasha is a little older!

This weekend Natasha will have another playdate with Kyra Tipper. Natasha will be about the age of Kyra when the two of them first met. So, it will be fun to see the 2 of them together and the difference in size! We will be hanging out by the pool, but I don'y think Natasha will go swimming quite yet. Probably louge around in the cabana and sun... hopefully we will have nice weather!

Have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend!

8 weeks and the Bumbo!

8 weeks, oh my!

Daddy and me

Check me out!

Just chilln'

7 weeks... since no post last week

Natasha is 8 weeks old and getting bigger, stronger, and more alert! We introduced her to the Bumbo this week since she has been doing so well holding her head up. She kind of has a love hate relationship with it right now... just like everything we introduce her to. But I think she will come around (she always does). We have been seeing some cute smiles from her lately but we are not quick enough to capture them with the camera. Natasha has also been grabbing at her rattles (as well as mommy's hair) on her play mat. This week we will also work with her on the exercise ball. A physical therapist that works with Zac, recommended that we have Natasha sit on a large ball (i.e. stability ball or beach ball) while holding her and try and let her find her balance by moving her hips. It is supposed to help with balance as she gets older. We'll let you know how it goes! As for me, I'm taking my first yoga class tomorrow since my prenatal yoga days. I am so excited to get some exercise other than walking and lifting my daughter and I get to get out of the house for awhile. Grandma Lou will be coming Thursday mornings, so that I can enjoy my yoga!

Namaste.

My First Mother's Day!

The reason I am celebrating Mother's Day!
Zac being a wonderful husband and dad (aka Coach)
Mimi and Natasha
Grandma Lou and Natasha
The family enjoying the BBQ
Uncle Matt and Natasha taking a nap
6 weeks old!

Future Bruin... Zac would be so happy!

I had a great and memorable first Mother's Day weekend and would like to thank my wonderful family for making it so special. We started the celebration on Saturday at Uncle Matt and Aunt Lizzy's house. They made delicious sliders for us and even thought Natasha couldn't enjoy the food, she did enjoy the company. As you can see above, she spent some quality time with her Uncle Matt! As for today, Zac and I hosted my family for a bbq. I have to thank Zac for all the hard work he put into making this day special and relaxing for me. I love you Monkey!

Natasha also turned 6 weeks this past week! She is getting bigger and bigger each day and we are curious to see how much she has grown since her 2 week check up. She has a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, so we will know then. As for me, I had my 6 week check up on Friday and am in the clear to start exercising again. Although, I have been walking everyday with Natasha and Chauncey, I am looking forward to getting back into yoga... now I just have to find the time! I am also 3 lbs. lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight... thank you breastfeeding!

Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful mamas in my life!
