Our not-so-little 27 month old has a lot to say these days. Here are a couple of my favorite stories, sayings, sentences, etc.
Last weekend at the pool, some older kids were playing "Marco Polo..."
It Player: Marco
Tasha: Marco
Me: Natasha we are not playing the game
It Player: Marco
Natasha: Marco
Other Players: Polo
Natasha: Marco
This is for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse fans:
We were hanging out in Natasha's room...
Me: Are you going to move into the big room and let your brother have this room and the crib?
Tasha: No. I'm going to move my crib into the other room.
Then she starts to pull on the crib...
Tasha: This is too hard!
Me: What should we do?
Tasha: Oh Toodles (although she pronounces it oh toonels)!
Me: (laughing)
Tasha: A mouskatool
Me: Do we need a handy crane?
Tasha: Yes!
After telling Zac this story...
Zac: Natasha, do we need a goofy crane to move the crib?
Tasha: It's called a handy crane (such a smarty pants)
While getting dressed upstairs...
Tasha: Mommy is putting on her booby socks
Me: (laughing) No, it is called a bra
Tasha: Booby Socks!
Natasha likes to turn her xylophone over and pretend it is a skateboard (it does have wheels on it)...
Tasha: Look a skateboard.
Me: No, that's a xylophone.
Tasha: Let's go buy a skateboard.
Me: Where do we buy a skateboard?
Tasha: Target
Me: Yes, I think Target has skateboards.
Tasha: And suitcases!
She obviously knows that Target has everything!

Our Little Fish
Swimming with daddy and her new water ring
Such a happy girl in the water
Blowing bubbles
Blowing bubbles with daddy
This is the life!
Natasha has been taking swim lessons for the past five weeks. And at the end of each class is play time with water rings. She loves the rings! In fact, she asks to use them as soon as we get into the pool. So, I bought one for her to use at our community pool. Zac and I took out little fish swimming over the weekend and we could not get her out of the water. Zac ended up going home after he turned pruney, but Natasha and I stayed for another hour until i had to go home and eat some lunch. Not only does Natasha like to swim with her ring, but she loves to jump into the pool in her ring. She must have jumped from the side of the pool 30 or so times! I was always waiting in the pool and I made sure she always jumped far enough from the edge, so she wouldn't get hurt. I am sure we will be at the pool this weekend too!
Meeting Baby Cameron
Last week we visited my friend, Goli and her new baby, Cameron
Natasha was very interested in Baby Cam
She loved looking at him and was always very gentle
I think she will be a great big sister!
Cameron and I
Tasha being silly... at least no jealousy when I hold other babies.
My friend, Goli, gave birth to Baby Cameron on May 1st and we finally got the chance to meet him. Natasha did a great job with baby Cameron and even played the guitar for him. She also helped push him in the swing and watch him get his diaper changed. She will be a great big sister once our little man makes his appearance in December!
Summer at the Ballpark
Lounging around in the suite
Natasha had no interest in the game because Jack was around... her other best bud!
Watching the game from the dugout view
Our view (kind of blurry)
I think daddy was trying to explain the game to her
Doesn't look too interested
At another game... Natasha got her first baseball cap
Snacking and watching the game
A clear view from our seats
Ready to pitch the ball at the kid's fun zone
Pajamas and her Angels hat... quite a look!
But the look isn't complete until she has her pink cowboy boots on
Natasha has already been to two baseball games this summer. On Friday, June 15th we joined the Links and the Larsons for a night at Angels stadium. Natasha had more fun hanging out in the suite with Jack than being outside to watch the game, but at least she was content. It was also Big Bang Friday (Friday night home game). After the game (win or lose), they had a big firework show. This was the first time Natasha has seen (and heard) fireworks since she was 5 months old. She did great... a little scared at first, but she ended up really enjoying the show. So we are excited to take her to out nearby park on the 4th to watch the Ladera Fireworks show. She has been talking about it and know we have to wait 'til the fourth! I'm glad we get to enjoy them this year, since we didn't try last year... mainly because of her bedtime.
Then last Sunday we headed to our second Angels game. It was a day game and we only stayed for about an hour and half. We had to leave early to get home so Natasha could nap. We are not at the point of a no nap day... hopefully not for another year or so (mommy needs the quiet time and with a new baby on the way). Anyway, Natasha got her first Angels baseball cap and she looks so stinkn' cute in it! We ate lunch there in our seats and then we walked around for a while before heading home. Natasha even got to pitch in the kid's fun zone area. Even though we were there for a short period of time, it was still a great day!
We will be heading to our third game on July 7th to support Baby Brooks and the Smile Train Foundation!
Fishies, Penguins and Seals, Oh My!
Checking out the fishies with Kiki
And now there are penguins at the Aquarium of the Pacific
This one was playing with Kiki
Natasha was ready to move on
Tasha and Kiki
Holding hands... BFFs

Summer is Here
Water Park days are back!
Venturing out on her own
Watching the big red bucket dump water
So happy to be in the water
Having fun during the safety break
Going to check out the play structure
Bathing beauty
Working on her kicks
Pizza time!
And boy, was she hungry!
Summer is in the air and the water park in Ladera is up and running. Zac left for Florida yesterday for a business trip, so after Natasha's nap, we headed to the water park for some fun in the water. It was nice and warm outside, but with a cool breeze. We splashed around for a good two hours before heading back home for dinner. Natasha was sure hungry, she ate a huge slice of pizza all by herself. She has probably said that "she had fun watching the bucket" at least fifty times. Don't worry baby girl, there will be plenty of times this summer to watch the bucket!
